Harold Walker Jetty

Harold Walker Jetty, North Stradbroke Island, Queensland, Australia

A pedestrian only jetty built from the end of Dunwich causeway on North Stradbroke Island. It was built in 1986 and named after Harold Walker, who’s Vega ferry service operated for 20 years until 1974. This passenger only ferry was ultimately unable to compete with the vehicular ferry service which had been in operation since 1947.
