Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia

Mainland Australia’s most easterly point and home to more than one picturesque beach. The area has a varied history, known by the Indigenous Arakwal people as Cavvanbah, or ‘the meeting place’, it has also hosted timber, whaling, and primary production industries, as well as being a surfing and holiday destination since the 1960’s.
